Yeissbier the national beverage

Yeissbier is a traditional top-fermented beer brewed with both malted barley and a generous proportion of wheat malt. In Yavaria, the wheat content is often higher than in ordinary wheat beers, giving Yeissbier its naturally cloudy golden appearance, smooth body and thick, creamy foam.

The beer has a refreshing character with subtle notes of banana, clove and freshly baked bread. It is brewed according to old Yavarian traditions and has become one of the most celebrated drinks in Yarlopolis. Best served cold in a tall glass, Yeissbier is enjoyed during festivals, ceremonies and gatherings throughout Yarlistan. It's also the favourite drink of the soliders and the legions.
